Authenticity
to reconnect
Connect with nature: it is sweet, warm and smiling in Zanzibar. Take the time to live at your own pace, follwing the sun and the tides, not your watch.
Reconnect to the essential: Matemwe and its smiling inhabitants will take you to real, simple and humorous relationships.
Authenticity
is space
In this authentic fisherman's bungalow in Zanzibar you live without glass windows but well sheltered, with maximum openings. The bungalow is also equipped with locking doors.
You live connected with nature, wind, waves. And enjoying breathtaking views directly from your couch on the lagoon and coral reef.

Authenticity
is nature
In this authentic fisherman's bungalow for rent in Zanzibar you sleep 5 meters from the lagoon, cook with your feet in the sand, take your nap under the coconut trees.
Sleep amidst the coconut palms, a few meters from the gentle waves of the lagoon. Feed the Bushbabies in the evening. With a little luck, you'll see frugivorous bats.
Authenticity
is comfort
From the beds to the generous sofas and to the beach beds, you will be pampered. At the time of your nap, you enjoy a terrace of 72m ² with very comfortable local beds, facing the lagoon.
A master suite of 60m² with the largest King size bed in Zanzibar: 2.45 m wide! From this room too, watch the fishermen sailing boats pass by your window.

Authenticity
is service à la carte
The Villa and the bungalow are always rented with cleaning services. You will be taken care of by our house boys with their wide smile. Scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, sandbank, kite surfing or visiting the village? Akuna Matata, the house boys are enthusiastic and will advise you.
Our driver knows the island inside out and will have you discover the secret corners. Ask him for insider advice and you won't be bored for a second.
Authenticity
is local
We only employ villagers from Matemwe. The artisans of the village and Zanzibar have created all the furniture. All materials used for construction and furniture are locally sourced to reduce the environmental impact and promote the island's entrepreneurship.
We've helped build the water supply to the village, the electricity grid. Every year we invest in the school and the local health center.

Authenticity
is flavour
Traditional cuisine, European cuisine, fusion cuisine or cook yourself. Anything is possible.
Our renowned chef Ali Baba will prepare his specialties such as rice pilau, biriani, coconut curry, suitable for children if you want. His homemade fresh pieces of bread are to die for. He'll teach you how to cook Swahili dishes. He is happy to share his passion for spices and flavors.

Ali Baba has been up to his reputation. The meals were always exceptional!
Laurent R. NîmesYour property is beautiful, unique and very well maintained. The bungalow on the sand matched exactly what I was looking for to live an authentic but comfortable holiday with my family.
Laurent R. NîmesWhat fantastic meal of fish, sea spiders and lobsters grilled with local spices and fruits that have made the fame of this island paradise! I still remember this sailing boat ride, the stone town market... A perfect place for those who want to make their dream of Zanzibar, become a reality... Hakuna Matata
